oh lordy, i miss my old office's Mac.

ahem.

ok, onto the back story.

Back in April 2006

Not much to do in the office, the usual paperwork and calls from clients for updates, confirmations and whatnots. The day were one of the more predictable slow days. When I knew clients will call by sending a text message to inform that they will ring me up at this time, when I knew that the boss overslept and won't be in till after lunch, that I had arranged and rearranged the set up of the studio from top to bottom, read or flipped through every magazine available, and the only thing that occupied my mind, was whether to get Jollibee or McDo for lunch.

Such boredom is alleviated by my obssession in finding useless information or checking graphic websites for inspiration. I doodle everywhere and anywhere, so a sketchbook is always present. That day, I managed to pull out from my ass, the one featured in this site.

Inspiration struck when I saw a magazine article, which featured a band whose singer has a powerful voice. So, based on her, I created this. Though the picture from the article showed not much detail of her facial features, i worked it out by placing sunglasses and making her hair flowy-er. adding a rainbow background signifies her vibrant range and versatility..the same way that I placed sunglasses to add a bit of mystery and color.

so there.

my first art backstory.

more to come soon.
