today (or rather yesterday sa Manila) is my mom's birthday.
the last time i saw her was at the Airport back home. she just left her last advise, kissed me goodbye and walked away without looking back.
every weekend, she would call me without fail, at 3am US, 7pm Manila.
she has three distinct moles on her left cheek. shaped in a triangle.
she likes to wear pastel colors (blue, pink, green andyellow are her most staple) and the occasional white...but would always avoid wearing black. she believes that black could only be worn at funerals and nothing more.
she idolizes Nigella Lawson, and would watch her show on the Lifestyle Network just to get tips and easy-to-do recipes...but i do believe that mom is a better cook than Nigella.
she stands like she's posing for a magazine.
she smiles like she's projecting for a magazine.
she loves wearing liquid eyeliner.
she keeps her hair short because it's easy to maintain, yet would often reprimand me when i want to have mine of the same style.
she pokes my back when i slouch.
she laughs too loud...and hearty.
she likes to make funny faces...
she loves going to the mountains and would go to baguio at least once or twice a week.
she hates cats, rats or hamsters..just the sight of them makes her jump.
she loves wearing high heels (much to my dad's dismay..since he's half an inch shorter than her)
she walks too fast.
she kept saying she'll go on a diet, and yet.....hm.
she has a longtime crush on Bong Revilla...
and last but not the least,
she's the bestest mom on earth...in more ways than i could ever mention.
Newport Love...yehey
Last Sunday was a perfect day to go to the beach. not too hot, not too cold. so a friend and i trooped over to Newport beach which is a good 15 minutes away from my apartment.
my area is a great place to live. my apartment's just a 5-to 10 minute bike/bus to Huntington beach and lined with other small beaches up to Balboa pier straight to Newport...
on to the pics!

the pier overlooking the beach...the weather was absolutely beautiful...though ang nakasira lang is the smog at the far off distance. take note na i am so not dressed for the beach. but it was biglaan and it's still pretty cold to go swimming..unless you wear a wetsuit.

me and clarinda..a family friend. took this while walking across the pier.

walking across the pier

a must have..the ''tourist shot'', where you have to show the whole scenery, and yet you have to be seen...just squint really really hard. :D

up close with nature....well, as close as i can get.

boats!

the photographer at work...
after Newport, we went to South Coast Plaza, a mall that i hang out often. this is where Borders bookstore is located, the Apple store, Papersource (a great art store) and a lot of high end stores like LV, Coach, Escada and Chloe. but i go there for Borders and Papersource..and their restos and coffeeshops..it's just less than a minute travel from my apartment...so i am there almost everyday.

kailangan ko pa ba magpapicture?

last parting shot before we went our separate ways
